“Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your panelled houses, while this house remains a ruin?”
Now this is what the LORD Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your way.”
“You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?” declares the LORD Almighty. “Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own house. Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops. I called for a drought on the fields and the mountains, on the grain, the new wine, the oil and whatever the ground produces, on men and cattle, and on the labour of your hands.”
“This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’” says the LORD Almighty.
“‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the LORD Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the LORD Almighty.”
Haggai 1:4-5, 9-11, 2:6-7, 9
This is what the LORD says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.
I appointed watchmen over you and said, ‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’”
Jeremiah 6:16-17
They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious.
“Peace, peace,” they say, when there is no peace.
Jeremiah 8:11
Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty Says:
"See, I will refine and test them, for what else can I do because of the sin of my people? Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks with deceit. With his mouth each speaks cordially to his neighbour, but in his heart he sets a trap for him.
Jeremiah 9:7-8
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
2 Chronicles 7:14-15
These scriptures stand out to me that God is calling His church who have lost its way and busy ourselves in our own business when His plans, His way is put aside. That we are covering our wounds with the hope they will disappear. We are living in a false peace where hidden maybe to many but are so real, the struggles are pulling the church apart where the wounds that are covered remain very open and sore and spreading. Unforgiveness is rampant, and that is in the Body of Christ, our selfishness and pride getting in the way of the fact that we need Jesus to take back His people in a real and heart felt way. And who are His people, we are His people, His church, made for His glory, not ours.
It's time to Rise Up! We have allowed the enemy to have victory in the church too long. When things are allowed to carry on, even get worse who has the victory, or should I ask, who should have the victory?
We all cry out for God to heal our land, and to bring in the harvest, but no one is prepared to see that maybe we are His obstacles as we are His people, He has chosen to bring in the harvest.
He Waits for US! How long must God wait? Or maybe He won't and we can find ourselves on the outside of His blessings and purpose. Is it not our desire to meet God's blessing and walk in it? I know it's mine, and the thought of missing out scares me. We need a change of heart, towards God, and towards each other and finally towards His purposes. Can you honestly say all is OK?
We all cry for revival, so let it start with you. Lord, come heal this land, Yes, but Lord start with me, start with us.
Remember This?
The Roman army have captive many prisoners from many armies. These armies all decide to go out to conquer the Roman army and release the captives. Each army dislikes the others. They all happen to meet up on the same battlefield. Instead of fighting the army of Rome they begin fighting each other. The Roman army watch happily while their enemies do what they were to do and they didn’t have to lift a finger. The armies were all supposed to have the same goal yet were not able to succeed for they were too busy fighting each other.
Our enemy is Satan and his army. A way we can be blind and deaf to God’s work is by being too busy fighting each other. When we do this who do we think is laughing? God’s will is not for us to fight each other, while we do that those who need us but more so need God, get ignored. Our real goal is not achieved. We remain never achieving our full potential in God and the people in need remain captives to our real enemy.
Kingdom Divided
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
Mark 3:24-26
Repent, Be Reconciled, Forgive and let God's Kingdom be Revealed in and through You to His glory.
Rise Up and be Counted.
